There are multitudes of Domain Providers in business and we cannot hope to provide step by step instructions for all of them. We do provide instructions for two of the most used, GoDaddy and Network Solutions.
For all others, here are some general guidelines:
Advanced DNS settings - The values below must be available from the Domain Providers control panel or dashboard. Some Providers are very simple and do not allow access to advanced DNS. These cannot be used by Trunity and you must transfer your Domain to another provider. Again we recommend GoDaddy.
Forwarding - It is best to set up forwarding in a way that allows people to omit the www in the address. So http://mycustomsite.com will be forwarded to http://www.mycustomsite.com
CName - A Cname (alias) must be set to point the domain at sites.trunity.net. The Domain will then open up in Trunity.
As examples, it can be helpful to send your provider the addresses of the GoDaddy and Network Solutions documents:
